Our new Bio Diversity Officer is passionate about the environment and wildlife, as are the Friends Group
The Parks and Countryside Dept are trying a new grass cutting policy so you may notice a change in the Park.
The pathways will have an edge cut to them so people can see that it is a planned policy and not just left uncut.
And obviously the football and cricket pitches will be cut as normal.
We welcome the new policy. We have already noticed the dandelions and daisies in the grass .
Please see below:
- Leave all blue areas uncut throughout the cutting season.
- Cut a double ride on mower width along all path edges in line with cutting schedule of amenity grass in the park.
- The avenue of remembrance to stay on an amenity cut, relax mowing to go on behind the line trees.
- Parks and Countryside will arrange cut and collection July/August Time
