New Trees in the Memorial Park

Just thinking about the trees the Friends have planted or been involved with planting in the Memorial Park:

3500 on the Woodland Area by Woodland Trust, (the Woodland Trust expected around 20% losses there has probably been more because of the drought last year )

Extra 800 whips from E Forests :

300 extra to replace any that died on the Woodland area.

300 to form wildlife triangle on Beauchamps Meadow, some in the Wildflower area

200 to extend Jubilee Wood

23 Mature Trees on the Parkland area on Beauchamps.

200 Fruit Trees for the new Community Orchard (4 year old trees)

3 in the Crazy Golf

2 in the Home Front

1 in the Heroes Arboretum

1 cherry on the mound plus extra 3 cherries planted along the pathway and mound.

22 cherries around the Reflection Garden

30 plus Silver Birches on the Reflection Garden mounds.

11 mature Silver Birches on the Entrance to Beauchamps Meadow

10 oak trees from Extinction Rebellion

5 donated horse chestnuts.

Total 4618 !

There may be extra losses on the Woodland area but we can assess and replace this year.
